DJ Vintos’ murderers exposed

The murder case of DJ Sumbody has taken an unexpected twist as police uncovered more disturbing links between the suspects and another slain public figure.

Outside the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 29 July 2025, SAPS spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe confirmed that the four men charged with DJ Sumbody’s assassination are also connected to the killing of DJ Vintos.

The suspects, businessman Katiso Molefe, former police officer Michael Pule Tau, Tlego Floyd Mabusela, and Musa Kekana made a brief court appearance before their bail hearing was officially postponed.

The new developments have sent shockwaves across social media, with many South Africans expressing disbelief over the growing web of violence and crime.

In a video shared by journalist Silindelo Masikane on X (formerly Twitter), Brigadier Mathe revealed that the SAPS had completed an investigation that linked the suspects to two more criminal cases.

One of them, she confirmed, is the murder of DJ Vintos.

Reactions online have been swift, with users demanding justice while questioning the depth of the criminal networks operating within the entertainment and nightlife scenes.

The court proceedings are expected to continue as the state prepares to respond to the expanded charges.
