Author Rachel Kolisi revealed that she was hospitalised last weekend. During the week, she had announced that she was unable to attend the Kingsmead Book Fair as she needed time to recover from an unforeseen surgery.

RACHEL KOLISI REVEALS SHE WAS ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL

This comes after Rachel revealed that she was admitted into hospital, without specifying what had happened. She was however, in good spirits as she shared a few different caption options that she thought were humourous.

The mom of two also expressed, at the time, that all was well and that she was grateful to be loved. She shared photos of her family in the hospital room, alongside her two children – Nicholas (11) and Keziah (9), who she shares with Springboks captain Siya Kolisi.

“Had a few ideas for the caption of this one! 😂. Took @fallingforward__ a little too seriously.
POV: when you carry the weight of the world on your shoulders. Nothing like morphine and friendship.
Doctors said “take a load off.” I got competitive. On a serious note, all is well,” she wrote.

“What a blessing it is to be loved 🥹♥️,” she continued.

This comes just after Rachel had a busy year launching her book and documentary titled Falling Forward.
