Julius Malema: “Kelly Khumalo Knows Who Killed Senzo Meyiwa”

Ziyakhala! Julius Malema who’s the current leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) says he’s absolutely certain that Kelly Khumalo “knows something” regarding the murder of soccer player Senzo Meyiwa.

The politician, who is know for not mincing his words, weighed in on the goalies murder trial and told journalists a mouthful about the singer.

As you may know, the Orlando Pirates player was shot and killed while at Kelly Khumalo’s family home. Even though Kelly and a few other individuals were in the house when he was shot, no one has ever been found guilty of his murder.

“We hold a view, and a very strong view that Senzo was killed… and those people in the house know who killed Senzo. We are more than convinced. Personally, I’m more than convinced, Kelly knows, I’m more than convinced that she knows something [about Senzo’s death], and there must be a way where she must be held accountable. But it must be done in an orderly manner so that its outcome is not questionable.”

As for the advocate who was defending the four accused, Malema said that he has no compassion for advocate Malesela Teffo and that he is disappointed by his decision to quit.

On Tuesday, Teffo struck a bombshell by announcing his decision to withdraw from the case. He gave several justifications, including feeling threatened by the Presidency.

Malema claims Teffo got things wrong in thinking the issue was about him and not the Meyiwa family who lost their child from the start. In his opinion, Teffo has misrepresented the law and disrespected the nation’s courts by speaking carelessly. The President’s office, however, has refuted Teffo’s assertions.
