Kaizer Chiefs look to end season on a high in Durban

Kaizer Chiefs will look to cap off an encouraging 2025/26 Betway Premiership campaign on a high when they host Chippa United in their final league match of the season at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, 23 May.

Amakhosi head into the clash full of confidence after edging AmaZulu FC 1-0 last weekend, a result that secured a top-three finish.

Best points tally since 2019/20

Already guaranteed to finish third, Kaizer Chiefs have collected 54 points from 29 matches.

Victory on Saturday would see them finish on 57 points – equalling their best tally since winning the league title in 2015, achieved during the 2019/20 season.

Latest Betway Premiership standings

However, Kaizer Chiefs will be without influential winger Glody Makabi Lilepo, who is suspended after receiving a second yellow card in the win over AmaZulu, despite scoring the match-winning goal.

Stakes are high

For Chippa United, the stakes remain high.

The Chilli Boys avoided automatic relegation, but are not yet safe from the promotion-relegation playoffs.

Sitting 13th on the log with 25 points from 29 matches, they could still be dragged into danger depending on other results this weekend.

Recently appointed coach Brandon Truter will be hoping to inspire a strong finish after taking charge this week.

Kick-off is scheduled for 15:00 at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, with tickets priced at R60 through Computicket, Shoprite and Checkers outlets nationwide.
