  • Tickets for the final-day Betway Premiership clash between Orbit College and Orlando Pirates at Mbombela Stadium sold out in just five hours.
  • Second-placed Orlando Pirates chase their first league title in 14 years, while 15th placed Orbit College fight to avoid relegation.
  • The 40,923 capacity World Cup venue will be full to the rafters on Saturday, 23 May, for one of the most dramatic conclusions to a South African football season.

Tickets for the highly anticipated Betway Premiership clash between Orbit College and Orlando Pirates sold out within five hours of going on sale.

Priced at R100 each, the tickets were snapped up rapidly by eager fans, ensuring the 40,923 capacity Mbombela Stadium will be completely packed for the final-day fixture on Saturday, 23 May.

The stakes could not be higher for either side. Currently second in the league with 66 points, Orlando Pirates need a victory alongside a Mamelodi Sundowns slip up to secure their first league title since the 2011/12 season.

Conversely, 15th-placed Orbit College are fighting for top-flight survival.

A win for the young side could guarantee safety, turning a daunting home fixture against a footballing giant into a historic opportunity.

Mbombela Stadium, originally built for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, is well-equipped to handle the immense occasion.

The match kicks off at 15:00 and will be broadcast live on SuperSport. With the eyes of the nation fixed on Mbombela, the final whistle will determine whether the Buccaneers end their 14 year title drought or if Orbit College can orchestrate a monumental upset to remain in the Premiership.
