Zakes Bantwini launches own foundation

Grammy Award-winning musician Zakes Bantwini has officially launched the Zakes Bantwini Foundation.

The star took to social media to share photos from the glamorous launch event held at the luxurious Saxon Hotel, where prominent figures from politics, entertainment, business, sports and the arts gathered in support of the initiative.

According to Bantwini, the foundation is focused on creating access, mentorship and meaningful opportunities for young people and women across South Africa.

“This foundation is deeply personal to me. It represents a long-standing commitment to creating access, mentorship, and real opportunities for the next generation, especially youth and women in South Africa,” he wrote.

The award-winning producer expressed gratitude to everyone who attended the event, saying their support strengthened the purpose behind the foundation.

Among the notable guests he thanked were Panyaza Lesufi, Gayton McKenzie, businessman Sizwe Nxasana, media personality Tbo Touch, music duo Liquideep and his wife, Nandi Madida.

Zakes also gave special recognition to his close friend Adam, his executive assistant Danielle Nagel, as well as the foundation’s board members for helping bring the vision to life.

“This is only the beginning. The work continues,” Bantwini concluded.

Fans and industry peers flooded his comment section with congratulatory messages.
