Controversial music executive Nota Baloyi showed how he has been in the industry after sharing a picture of himself with some notable South African rappers. And, in true Nota fashion, he threw a bit of shade their way.

Nota took to his Instagram account on 13 May 2026 to show his younger self with Ms Nthabi, K.O., PRO (also known as Pro Kid), Stogie T, Slikour, Shugasmakx, and other musicians.

He captioned his post, “I was 18 years old, standing with K.O., rhyming with PRO… Since a day old, NOTA been the GOAT!”

His post sparked a lively conversation in the comment section, with some questioning why he didn’t mention the other greats in his caption. Of course, Nota fired back at social media users.

@blessed1one__ said to the media personality:

“Mention the other legends in this photo. K.O. and PRO are not the only legends here.”

@matsobanekgomo_ wrote to Nota:

“You ended up beefing with most of them here.”

Nota replied to the social media user:

“I surpassed them, and they’re mad I’m still merciful!”

The opinionated Nota’s recent beef was with DJ Maphorisa, who banned him from entering the upcoming Scorpion Kings Live concert set to take place at FNB Stadium on 19 September 2026. It all started when DJ Maphorisa asked about his royalties for Ngud’, a song by Kwesta, featuring Cassper Nyovest. Phori alleged that he had been waiting 10 years for the music executive to give him what was due.
