Orlando Pirates could be set to part ways with two of their standout performers, Oswin Appollis and Relebohile Mofokeng, at the end of the season.

The attacking duo have been instrumental for the Buccaneers, contributing a combined 21 goals across all competitions.

Their impact has already helped Pirates secure two trophies this campaign, with the possibility of completing a memorable double should they clinch the Betway Premiership title.

Orlando Pirates to sell Mofokeng?

Mofokeng, widely regarded as one of the team’s best players this season, continues to attract strong interest ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

According to Afroscout, the young star is currently Africa’s highest-valued U23 player at R68.6 million. He has already featured at the 2025 AFCON and is expected to be part of the FIFA World Cup in June.

Appollis, meanwhile, has also enjoyed an impressive debut campaign for Orlando Pirates. The 24-year-old winger was recently named Betway Premiership Player of the Month and has delivered consistently in front of goal.

He has scored eight league goals and provided six assists, bringing his total goal contributions to 17 across all competitions.

Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has praised Appollis for his impact in his debut season at the club.

“Even though I prefer to speak about the collective, because for me that’s the most important thing, Appollis is shining within the team through his teammates,” said the Moroccan mentor.

“He’s a fantastic player. He brings something special to the team, technically and in terms of finishing in the final third. His creativity is very important for us.”

Elsewhere, youngster Camren Dansin is beginning to make his mark. The midfielder first caught the eye of Bucs supporters with a stunning goal against Mamelodi Sundowns last year.

He came close to getting on the scoresheet again after rattling the post during Orlando Pirates’ 2-0 win over Stellenbosch FC at Athlone Stadium on Tuesday evening.

His lively cameo has sparked calls from fans for more game time as the season approaches its conclusion.

The 21-year-old has made just 11 appearances so far, but there is growing belief that he could play a bigger role in the near future.

Are Pirates on the right track to replace players?
