JMPD warns civilians not to direct traffic during load shedding

The Johannesburg Metro Police Department is warning citizens to abstain from directing traffic during power cuts.

Many people have taken it on themselves to direct vehicles in the absence of traffic officers.

However, the JMPD says they are not authorized to do this and the department will not be held liable if anything goes wrong.
