Royal AM have confirmed the appointment of Khabo Zondo as their new Head Coach ahead of the 2022/2023 DStv Premiership season.

The former Golden Arrows coach was officially confirmed on the club’s Instagram account on Friday.

Zondo succeeds John Maduka who resigned last month and has since been unveiled at Maritzburg United.

iDiski Times had reported that Zondo was a front-runner, however, the coach was only expected to be announced next week.

While the 60-year-old has been out of the professional game for a few years, he is an experienced campaigner, having coached teams like Arrows, Royal Eagles, Nathi Lions, Bay United, Bloemfontein Celtic and Tembisa Classic. He also spent some time at Mamelodi Sundowns and worked as the national u17 coach.
