Season 9 of Mzansi Magic’s reality show about Musa Mseleku and his wives has been extended with four additional episodes.

The current season of Uthando Nes’thembu was initially set to end next week, but due to the show’s popularity, it has been extended.

This means that the season will now officially end on the 14th of May 2026.

This show follows the life of a businessman, Musa Mseleku, and his wives as they navigate a polygamous relationship, their family dynamics, staying true to tradition in a modern world and the sisterhood of the wives.

The show has been on television for years, currently airing the ninth season. It is still able to keep Mzansi glued to their screens. It has also built momentum with Uthando Nes’thembu Uncut, where moments that the viewers have never seen before were shared.

Mzansi Magic took to their social media to make the announcement with an official image written “eMzumbe has been extended!”

Entertainment creator and commentator Jabulani  Macdonald is also among those who took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the news of the show being extended.

Some internet users weighed in:

“We need 14 more episodes. There is a lot that needs addressing, we even need reunion atp,” commented one user.

Another added: “They will know true decline if the next show is pap”.
