Daniels Returns To Former Club
Clayton Daniels has sealed a return to his former club after parting ways with Maritzburg United.
Daniels, 37, started his professional career at the club previously known as Ajax Cape Town back in 2006 and returns 11 years later after stints with Mamelodi Sundowns, Bloemfontein Celtic, SuperSport United and the Team of Choice.
Despite being linked with a new role at the KZN-based outfit in a non-playing capacity, Spurs have lured the defender back to Cape Town for a final swansong as they look towards experience to launch an assault for DStv Premiership promotion in the 2022/23 season.
Another former player Granwald Scott has also been linked with a return to Ikamva after parting ways with Stellenbosch this month, while the club have already acquired the services of Orlando Pirates teenage striker Boitumelo Radiopane for head coach Shaun Bartlett for the upcoming GladAfrica Championship campaign.
