Dr Musa Mthombeni shuts down cheating rumours

Dr Musa Mthombeni has broken his silence after rumours surfaced online alleging he was unfaithful to his wife, Liesl Laurie-Mthombeni, during a recent trip to Thailand.

The claims, which spread rapidly across social media, suggested that the radiologist had been involved with another woman while on a boys’ getaway.

The speculation gained traction after some users began questioning the couple’s reduced presence together online, prompting gossip accounts to hint at possible trouble in their marriage.

However, Mthombeni wasted no time addressing the allegations, taking to X to firmly dismiss them as baseless.

“Aowa Bathong. Mina futhi! What fresh lie is it today?” he wrote.

Clearly frustrated, he went on to call out what he sees as a pattern of misinformation driven by social media engagement.

“Saphela Nkosi yam. Every time I see something controversial on the timeline, I check for a blue tick. Once I see it, I know it’s hunger tweeting.”

He also issued a warning about the potential consequences of spreading unverified claims.

“One day le ‘ALLEGEDLY’ yenu is gonna end in ‘PUNITIVE COSTS’.”

Reaffirming his stance, Mthombeni made it clear that any narrative outside of his personal and professional life is false.

“If you hear anything about me that isn’t about me loving my baby girl, school, career, family or generally enjoying life, it’s a lie! Angizwani neNonsense!”

He didn’t hold back in criticising those behind the rumours, suggesting that financial incentives tied to online engagement are fueling false narratives.

“Nna I hate poverty. It makes you lie for interactions so that Elon can pay you $2000 every week. Shame on 0% Amanyala 100%.”

Despite the online chatter, Mthombeni has maintained that there is no truth to the allegations, reiterating that his focus remains on his marriage, career and personal life.
