Internet users have expressed concern about a TikToker who admitted that they live with gigantomastia, with some displaying the willingness to support and assist her.
The TikTok user, known as Michelle Sekwena, had breast reduction surgery last year, and now her breasts are seemingly bigger than they were after the surgery. This has sparked a conversation about breast reduction surgery and overall women’s health.
She shared that she lives with a rare, benign condition characterised by rapid, excessive growth of breast tissue. Internet users came together and donated for her breast reduction surgery after she shared her story on various podcasts and on Metro FM.

According to Cleveland Clinic, this condition can cause extreme physical discomfort, back pain and skin infections, often requiring surgery like reduction or mastectomy. It frequently occurs during puberty, pregnancy or via hormone sensitivity.
However, she recently shared a video of herself, and many were worried that her breasts might be growing again.

TikTok users commented:

After seeing many TikTokers asking questions, Michelle said she does not know if they are growing again but one of her breasts always grows bigger than the other when she is on her cycle. She added that she remains optimistic, and that she has been seeing a doctor and is currently on trial. She will know for sure at the end of the trial.
Michelle initially caught the attention of many when she shared mini vlogs of how she navigates life with gigantomastia, and opened up about how it affected her self-esteem.

She also shared how she dressed for her comfortability, and had to put breast pads on the shoulders because the weight of her breast affected them.
