Chymamusique laments harsh judgment after surviving a tragic accident that killed DJ Poizen

Chymamusique has opened up about the emotional toll of surviving the horrific accident that claimed the life of his close friend and colleague, DJ Poizen.

Taking to X on Sunday, the DJ shared a raw and heartfelt message about the struggles he continues to face as he tries to heal and move forward.

“People will make you feel like Surviving an accident is a SIN. Yal say things that destroy us inside even though you see that we are trying to fight for the next breath,” he wrote.

He went on to stress that his survival should not be tied to the misfortune of the accident.

“Anything I do can’t be linked to the misfortune, I live coz God decided. Let’s move fam, let’s cry while we move just like ambulances.”

The post quickly gained traction, sparking conversations about empathy and the pressures survivors face in the public eye.

While many rallied behind him with messages of support, others offered advice on how he could protect his mental space.

One user suggested he step away from social media entirely, writing, “I think a number of people have mentioned this to you over the past few months but I’m going to repeat it and hope you take it to heart this time. Take a break off this app. A proper break. A few months or so. Delegate the responsibility of promoting your gigs to someone else.”

Another pointed out the harsh nature of online spaces, saying, “You came back on this app trying to be strong. But people always remind you about the accident that even took your friend. People on this app are cruel.”

Despite the criticism and advice, many fans praised his resilience and vulnerability, with one supporter commenting, “We live in a world with very insensitive people, and surviving an accident especially with that much medical attention isn’t easy on you brother. Some of us look up to you for the resilience you’re showing and respect you all the more for such strength.”
