Richards Bay have secured the signature of former Ajax Cape Town star Ndiviwe Mdabuka ahead of their debut season in the DStv Premiership.
The GladAfrica Championship winners look set for major squad changes as they look to strengthen their team, as they will be one of five Kwa-Zulu Natal teams in the top-flight.
Mdabuka, 29, who was with Cape Town All Stars had an impressive 2021/22 campaign pushing his side to finish third on the log and qualify for Premier Soccer League promotion playoffs.
The tenacious midfielder managed to score 13 goals in the entire campaign with four assists, recording his record-best figures since he was relegated with the now-defunct Ajax Cape Town.
iDiskiTimes can confirm that ‘Diva’ signed a two-year deal with the KZN base side Richards Bay with his contract with All Stars expiring at the end of this month.
Chippa United also showed interest in the midfield maestro that didn’t stop Bay from getting him on board.
This is the second Richards signing ever since they’ve gained promotion after earlier securing of Matome Mabeba from TS Sporting.
