Emtee Records denies Babygrlzae exit

Babyg!rl Zae still with Emtee Records label

Emtee’s label has stepped in to shut down swirling claims that its rising artist Babygrlzae has parted ways with the camp.

In a formal statement, Emtee Records dismissed reports of a split, insisting the information making rounds is misleading and possibly coming from unauthorized sources.

The label maintained that there has been no official confirmation from Emtee himself and stressed that only he has the authority to announce any contractual changes.

ā€œWe are aware of the statement circulating regarding BABYG!RLZAE’s alleged departure from Emtee Records. At this stage, we maintain that this information is inaccurate and may have been issued by third parties managing the account, and does not reflect the true situation,ā€ the statement read.

According to the label, the last known interaction between the two artists was positive, with no signs of tension or fallout, reinforcing its stance that Babygrlzae remains signed.

However, the situation quickly took a dramatic turn after Babygrlzae publicly responded, offering her own version of events and hinting at behind-the-scenes interference.

While expressing respect for Emtee, she alleged that his wife, Nicole Chinsamy, may be at the centre of the confusion.

ā€œI always wish the best for Emtee. I’ve got nothing but love for him,ā€ she said. ā€œBut this is coming from Nicole, not Emtee. As far as I’m concerned, she has access to his phone. She blocked me on both his account and the Emtee Records account. I haven’t heard from him since Monday, after I posted that TikTok. I believe she’s the one posting these things.ā€

The rapper claims communication between her and Emtee suddenly stopped earlier this week, shortly after she shared a TikTok video she believes may have triggered the fallout.

Since then, she says she has been blocked from reaching him directly, even as statements about her alleged departure surfaced online.

With conflicting narratives now playing out in public, uncertainty continues to hang over Babygrlzae’s status at the label.

While Emtee Records is standing firm that she remains part of the roster, her claims suggest a deeper dispute may be unfolding behind the scenes.
