It’s been another disappointing season for Kaizer Chiefs. The contracts of Bruce Bvuma, Zitha Kwinika, Dillan Solomons, Sibongiseni Mthethwa, Pule Mmodi, Gaston Sirino, and Khanyisa Mayo are all coming to an end in June.
Which players should stay on and sign new deals for next season? The facts found in this article will be under the microscope when the new coach starts making decisions.
MAZOLA MOLEFE REPORTS LIST OF ENDING DEALS
“Yeah, indeed, big news coming out of Naturena with regards to players soon to be out of contract,” Molefe said on SABC Sport.
“That would be the 30th of June. The reason being that the coach’s situation is unclear at the moment. We’ve heard the Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr, saying he wants a CAF Champions League spot.
“At the moment, it seems the best that Kaizer Chiefs can do is the CAF Confederation Cup, finishing in third place. This affects the following players. I’ve put together a list here.
“Who should go? Who should stay? Bruce Bvuma, Zitha Kwinika, Dillan Solomons, Sibongiseni Mthethwa, Pule Mmodi, Gaston Sirino, and of course, Khanyisa Mayo (on loan), a decision has to be taken there.
Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana captain Hlompho Kekana was put in the spotlight to say which players Kaizer Chiefs should keep or release from the list.
“I must say, this is a list of players that really deserve to get a contract from Kaizer Chiefs,” Kekana said.
“But as you said in the beginning, they are waiting for the outcome before making decisions. I love the thinking, because a new coach is coming who is going to have to coach these guys. So he has to make decisions based on what he has seen, and I think that’s good thinking,” Kekana concluded.
WHAT DID EACH PLAYER OFFER KAIZER CHIEFS THIS SEASON?

Dillan Solomons has been in healthy competition for the right-back position with Thabiso Monyane. The 29-year-old Solomons has made 18 appearances, while Monyane has played 17 times.
Sibongiseni Mthethwa (31) was a regular with 19 appearances before suffering a long-term injury in December 2025.
Pule Mmodi remains one of the most trusted players in the Kaizer Chiefs technical team. The 33-year-old winger has contributed one goal and one assist in 25 games.
