Kaizer Chiefs spend Easter Monday in Gqeberha

Kaizer Chiefs will spend Easter Monday in Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape to face Orbit College in a Betway Premiership clash.

The Rustenburg-based outfit opted to relocate the fixture in anticipation of large crowds expected for the encounter between the two sides.

Kaizer Chiefs looking to extend winning run

With the final FIFA international break of the season now concluded, Amakhosi will be eager to continue their recent positive momentum.

Kaizer Chiefs head into the match on the back of back-to-back victories over Durban City and Magesi FC, results that have strengthened their position in the upper half of the table.

Currently sitting fourth on the log with 36 points from 20 matches, the Soweto giants will be targeting another three points to maintain pressure on the teams above them.

Orbit College battling relegation

Hosts Orbit College find themselves in a far more precarious position.

The newly promoted side are currently second from bottom on the table with 18 points from 22 matches and will be desperate for points as they attempt to steer clear of relegation.

Despite their league position, the Eastern Cape side will be hoping that the move to Gqeberha and strong home support can help inspire an upset.

First meeting produced five goals

The reverse fixture between the two teams took place at FNB Stadium in November, where Kaizer Chiefs recorded a 4-1 victory in what was the first-ever meeting between the clubs.

Fans attending Monday’s clash can purchase tickets through Webtickets online, as well as at Pick ‘n Pay and Boxer stores. Prices are set at R60 for adults and R40 for children.

With winter kick-off times now in effect for day matches, the game between the Glamour Boys and the Mswenko Boys will kick off at 15:00.
