Prince Kaybee reveals why he won’t host his own shows

Prince Kaybee has no plans to ever host his shows

House producer Prince Kaybee has opened up about why he has no plans to host his own events.

The discussion started after Kaybee publicly showed support for DBN Gogo’s widely praised 24-hour DJ set.

While many applauded his support, others began questioning when he would step up to organise his own show.

Responding to a fan on X, Kaybee admitted that his controversial public image plays a major role in his decision.

“I’m too controversial to host my own shows. I’ll be trying to sell tickets, then someone will remember something I said that offended them. But I can come show love to those that do,” he wrote.

His candid response quickly gained traction online, sparking debate about whether controversy truly affects an artist’s ability to draw crowds.

While some agreed with his stance, others argued that public criticism often fuels interest rather than damaging it.

Among those who weighed in was Lebza The Villain, who openly disagreed with Kaybee’s reasoning.

He argued that controversy can actually work in an artist’s favour, increasing visibility and curiosity among fans, while suggesting that the decision might come down more to personal preference than public perception.

I’ve said this to you before and I will say it again

I DISAGREE WITH THIS!

Controversy rarely stops any artist from hosting, I think if anything, it sharpens attention, fuels curiosity, and proves that social media noise doesn’t define your real audience.

Truthfully, you… https://t.co/qG37u69YaC
