Nonku Williams accused of splurging on luxury while owing Bev Steyn R125k

A bitter fallout between former friends Bev Steyn and Nonku Williams has escalated into a legal battle, with Steyn accusing the reality star of living lavishly while allegedly failing to repay a substantial debt.

Steyn has taken the matter to court, claiming Williams owes her R125,000, money she says was loaned in good faith during a time of distress.

What once appeared to be a supportive friendship has now unraveled into a tense dispute, with Steyn expressing frustration over what she describes as misplaced priorities.

According to her, Williams has been spotted indulging in high-end fashion instead of making any effort to settle the debt.

Steyn specifically pointed to reports of luxury spending, alleging that Williams splashed R27,000 on Gucci items rather than initiating a repayment plan.

The dispute dates back to a written agreement signed in August last year, which reportedly consolidated an earlier R25,000 loan with an additional R100,000.

The deal, which included a steep 50% interest rate, required full repayment by September, but Steyn claims she has yet to receive any money.

Opening up about what led her to lend the funds, Steyn said the situation was deeply emotional at the time.

“She was scared she was going to lose her home,” she revealed, adding, “That played on my emotions of being a mother.” Now, her tone has shifted dramatically, warning, “She can run but she can’t hide.”

Williams, on her part, has remained tight-lipped amid the growing controversy, stating only that she intends to address the allegations through the proper legal channels.

As the case heads to court, what began as a personal favour has now turned into a public and highly charged confrontation.
