Letoya Makhene faces financial trouble

Letoya Makhene is at the centre of fresh controversy following reports that she was evicted from her Johannesburg West apartment after allegedly falling behind on rent.

According to sources, the situation escalated after the landlord reportedly took action over unpaid rent said to have stretched beyond two months.

The move allegedly left the singer locked out of her home, with her electricity also cut off during the ordeal.

It is further claimed that Makhene attempted to challenge the eviction through legal channels, taking the matter to court in an effort to contest the landlord’s actions.

However, details surrounding the outcome of that process remain unclear.

The reports have been accompanied by further claims about her personal life, including allegations that she recently welcomed a five-month-old baby.

The identity and circumstances surrounding the child’s father have also sparked public conversation, particularly amid unverified claims about his personal struggles.

Makhene’s ex-wife, Lebo Keswa, confirmed that the star had indeed given birth and suggested that she is currently facing serious challenges.

“She has nothing. When I met her she had a newborn and was using a t-shirt as a nappy for her child. I can’t believe she keeps having babies,” Keswa said.

Another source alleged that the actress and sangoma is under financial pressure and struggling to meet basic responsibilities.

“She needs a job to take care of her family, especially her newborn baby. She spent all the money that was paid to her for the reality show last year with the ex-boyfriend and she cannot afford to pay rent,” the source claimed.

While the full picture remains unclear and Makhene has yet to publicly address the allegations in detail.
