Former BBMzansi housemate Thato leaves Metro FM
Thato Mthombeni has officially parted ways with Metro FM, bringing an end to her two-year run on the popular station.
The former BBMzansi housemate served as co-host of Saturday Sunset alongside Naked DJ, where she built a growing presence and connected with listeners over the weekend slot.
Confirming her departure, Thato took to social media to express gratitude for her time at the station, acknowledging both her colleagues and the audience who supported her journey.
“Thank you @METROFMSA and @SABCPortal for a great 2 years on the MIGHTY METRO FM,” she wrote.
She went on to appreciate her team, adding, “Thank you to my awesome co-host @Naked_Dj and producer Bobsta I’m forever grateful.”
Thato also gave a special mention to listeners, saying, “To the Metro FM listeners, thank you for your support and love❤️. Here’s to new beginnings.”
Her exit marks a shift in the station’s lineup, with Naked DJ set to continue on air as part of The Break Away, where he will co-host alongside Khutso Theledi and Somizi Mhlongo from 9am to 12pm.
While Thato has not yet revealed her next move, her message hints at a new chapter ahead as she steps away from Metro FM and explores fresh opportunities.
