BBMzansi’s 1st runner up Thandeka

Thandeka may not have walked away with the R2 million grand prize, but her supporters are determined to reward her in their own way.

Following the finale of Big Brother Mzansi on Sunday, 22 March 2026, where Liema Pantsi was crowned the winner, fans of the runner-up quickly mobilised online, launching a GoFundMe campaign aimed at raising R1 million for the reality TV star.

The initiative, started by a supporter on X (formerly Twitter), gained traction within hours, with contributions steadily climbing.

The fundraiser has already surpassed â‚Ĵ4,394 (around R87,000), signalling strong backing from her fanbase.

Thandeka, who became a fan favourite during her time on the show, including her much-talked-about relationship with fellow housemate Mmeli,  has continued to trend on social media, with many viewers insisting she deserved the win.

Supporters didn’t hold back in rallying others to contribute, with one fan writing, “We here, she must increase the amount to 3million target! I will do it over and over again!”

Another added, “Thandeka deserves every penny. Let’s show her love by contributing massively.”

Others even did the math to encourage participation, with one post reading, “If 4000 people contribute R500 each, Thandeka will have R2 million.”
