Royal sisterhood emerges through Queen Nomzamo’s kind gesture

In polygamous marriages, it’s quite common for sister wives to be a bit catty with one another; therefore, the heartfelt words from Queen Nomzamo “Mdolomba” Myeni to Queen Nozizwe Mulela on her birthday truly touched the hearts of many on Sunday, 22 March.

Queen Nozizwe, a dedicated philanthropist, is the second wife of AmaZulu monarch King MisuZulu KaZwelithini, whereas Queen Mdolomba, who’s also a formidable community builder, is the King’s third wife.

QUEEN MDOLOMBA’S BIRTHDAY MESSAGE TO QUEEN NOZIZWE

Yesterday marked the 50th birthday of Queen Nozizwe Mulela from Eswatini. Her sister-wife, known as Queen Mdolomba, posted a lovely and sincere birthday note on her social media platforms.

This move by Queen Mdolomba demonstrates such a sisterly and unifying act, since she’s often been perceived as somewhat distant from her royal sister wives.

Queen Mdolomba penned the following short birthday note for Queen Nozizwe:

“Usuku oluhle lokuzalwa,” which simply translates to “Happy birthday”, as she wished her well on her special day.

ROYAL VIBES: THE QUEENS GET ALONG SO WELL

Queen Mdolomba has always shown love and respect towards Queen Nozizwe. At the Umkhosi Womhlanga (reed dance) in 2025, the two queens sat next to each other for the first time and spoke quite comfortably throughout the event.

Queen Mdolomba expressed her gratitude for having met with Queen Nozizwe, marking another round of applause from her followers.
