Taking to Instagram Stories, she shared a touching message alongside a photo of her parents, expressing gratitude for the role her mother played in her life and in raising her daughter.

“My amazing parents. RIP to my mother, love u forever my everything. Thanks for helping me raise my daughter, thanks for giving me a good life, thanks for being the best mom to me & everyone,” she wrote.

Overcome with emotion, she continued: “I can’t thank you enough but I will forever be thankful to have a mother like you. God will forever be with you ma. Modimo o bolokile Moya wa hao (God has saved your spirit). You did well on this earth & your soul is at peace.”

A statement shared on her social media on behalf of the family offered further insight into the loss, describing Moipone as a pillar of strength and love within the family.

“It is with immense sadness that we share the passing of Moipone Martha Morolong, the beloved mother of Inno Morolong, Olivia Morolong, and Gift Morolong; grandmother of Bontle Manana, Lesedi, Keneilwe, Reabetswe, and Kamo; and wife to Sabata Ephraim Morolong,” the statement read.
