Rapper and producer Anatii took to Twitter to announce he was removing his solo music from streaming sites. In a way, he was cryptically telling his fans he was leaving the music industry. Anatii later said on the tweet that it’s been good and that he is thankful.

He was saying goodbye to the music industry. He thanked his fans for supporting him from day 1. Anatii’s fanbase is one of the most loyal, and they helped him through everything. His fans were there from his sounds, his beefs and rekindling moments.

Growing patterns in song removals

There seems to be a growing pattern of musicians worldwide removing their music from streaming websites. Some people argue the artists aren’t happy with their contracts with recording labels.

We all know a lot of musicians sign deals in excitement and forget about the future. Such agreements usually lead to the artists being under financial strain and pain.

Fans distraught

Fans of the musician expressed their unhappiness over the news. Some said they were playing his music long ago, and now this. His fans were hurt he didn’t drop hints or consult him. In reality, it is his decision at the end of the day, but fans feel entitled to an explanation.

His solo music won’t pop up when people search anymore. It will never be the same, especially when people play nostalgic Mzansi hip hop. It’s almost as if he is wiping off an era of his life.

Ricky Rick’s songs removal

Another artist whose songs are removed from streaming sites is the late rapper Ricky Rick. Some of his music is already not available online anymore. On his suicide note, he asked his family to make it all disappear.
