Actress Zola Nombona dumps Generations The Legacy; her reason stuns Mzansi.

Generations The Legacy actress Zola Nombona who plays the role of Pamela Khoza has resigned from the longest-serving SABC 1 soapie. Zola joined Generations The Legacy cast to play the role of an investigative journalist who was married to Siyanda Khoza – the role played by Kay Sibiya.

Zola joined Generations The Legacy cast after an exodus of cast members, including Zoe Mthiyane; she was tipped to fill her shoes in a though in a different role. Tshidi Moroka headhunted Pamela into #Ezweni to push her cunning plan. When her husband passed away, Pamela turned into a grieving monster while trying to find justice for the murder of her husband. In support of the Diales, she hit a dead end and decided to let it go.

Sources closer to the production revealed that Zola requested a salary increase despite writers finding it hard to expand her storyline.

“She requested an increase to around R17 800 per month, which is reasonable but did not match her current role. Her team reached out and failed to settle for that amount with the showrunners hence the resignation.”

Generations The Legacy showrunners claim that Zola left to pursue other projects, and there is no bad blood between the two camps. Speaking to this publication, Zola Nombona revealed that she would forever belong to the Generations The Legacy family.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to showcase my talent on South Africa’s biggest soapie. My journey with the soapie ends today, but the family remains forever; I left to explore different opportunities, and I will be on small screens soon,” Zola.
