Rachel Kolisi has expressed her thoughts regarding her children having a stepmother, highlighting that anything outside of her being the best parent she can be is not her concern. This follows her divorce from Springboks captain, Siya Kolisi.

During an interview on 947’s Anele and the Club, she was asked whether she was prepared for another woman to become a stepmother to her children.

As reported by Briefly News, the author and businesswoman emphasised in her response that her focus remains solely on her children, stating that anything beyond her role as a mother is not her concern.

“I can only parent the best that I can, and that is my priority; everything else is none of my business,” she said.

As reported by African Insider, she also opened up about a difficult period in her marriage, revealing that she once had to ask for money for basic necessities after leaving her job to focus on family responsibilities.

Rachel and Siya announced their separation in October 2024 after eight years of marriage, a development that surprised many South Africans who had long viewed them as a power couple.

During the interview, Rachel said she is comfortable focusing on herself and raising her children following the split.

“I’m good by myself. I don’t think I’ve been better by myself,” she said.

Her comments come as she continues travelling across South Africa hosting screenings of her documentary Falling Forward, which explores her life journey and personal challenges.
