Prince Grootbom to star in Netflix’s ‘180’

South African actor and dancer Ntuthuzelo Prince Grootboom will portray a lead role in the highly anticipated Netflix movie, 180.

Prince recently played a twisted character of Jacob Tau on Fatal Seduction. Hailing from Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape, he first rose to fame in 2021 with his television acting debut on Jiva, where he was cast as Sipho Mchunu.

He later landed his first starring role on 1802: Love Defies Time, portraying the character of Prince Melisizwe, the son of King Jonginamba KaMajola in 2023. Currently, he plays the character of Mawethu Sonjica on Inimba.

Alongside Fana Mokoena, Desmond Dube, Warren Masemola, Noxolo Dlamini and Danica De La Rey on 180; Prince will play an enraged father who spirals down a dark path of emotional turmoil and vengeance. This is after an unexpected road rage incident puts his son in a critical condition.

Prince took to his Instagram page to share the official poster of 180. Captioning his post, he said: “God is great.”

Fim producer Lulu Hela said: “Congrats, superstar!”

Media personality Bontle Modiselle said: “God is so good! Congratulations bro.”

Actor Bonko Khoza added: “Congrats Brody. Cant wait.”

Netflix also took to their Instagram page to share the trailer. “How far would you go for retribution? This father would go to hell and beyond! Prince Grootboom, Warren Masemola, Noxolo Dlamini and Fana Mokoena star in 180, coming to Netflix soon,” read the caption.
