This past weekend, South African celebrities and actresses attended the 19th South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs 19). These celebs all dressed to impress, showing off stunning red carpet looks.

The ceremony took place at the Gallagher Convention Centre and celebrated the best actors, filmmakers, and TV shows in South Africa. Big winners included Bonko Khoza, Zenande Mfenyana, and Gail Mabalane.

CELEB COUPLES ON THE RED CARPET

Actress Ntando Duma attended with her husband, Grammy award-winning artist Una Rams. Una wore a brown suit with a beige shirt and brown leather shoes, accessorised with a gold bracelet, while Ntando stunned in a long, light-silver gown with sheer sleeves.

Her nails were tipped white and she wore a ring on her left hand, completing the elegant look. This celeb couple made a statement on the red carpet for the SAFTAs 19.

THUSO MBEDU AND ZOZIBINI TUNZI LOOKS AT SAFTAs 19

Thuso Mbedu wore a black beaded gown with sheer panels and fringe detailing on the skirt. Her dramatic circular hair bun added a glamorous finishing touch to the dress.

Miss Universe and Miss South Africa 2019, Zozibini Tunzi, chose a strapless red ball gown dress with a textured bodice and flowing skirt. Gold earrings and a bracelet elevated her elegant look.

Zozibini shared on Instagram: “TV and film are more than just entertainment. They shape stories, culture and even the way we see the world. What an honour to celebrate amongst impeccable African artists of our time. Thank you SAFTAs 19 for having me.”

Thuso Mbedu also expressed her gratitude, saying: “SAFTAs 19. It was an honor to be home sharing the night with the brilliant creatives that keep fighting for our industry.”

OTHER CELEB LOOKS AT SAFTAs 19

Actress Pearl Modiadie turned heads in a long, figure-hugging red dress. Her natural curls perfectly complemented the glamorous and sophisticated outfit.

Many other South African stars showcased their unique styles, making the SAFTAs 19 a night of unforgettable fashion and entertainment.
