PICTURE: X/ BIG BROTHER MZANSI FINALISTS
It’s the tenth week of Bazozwa in the Big Brother Mzansi house, marking the finale week with only six housemates still competing for the prize.
This season was themed ‘redemption’, which saw some housemates return to redeem themselves in the house. The housemates are Mpendulo Dube, Mmeli Khumalo, Lindokuhle ‘Bravo B’ Nsele and Liyema ‘Liema’ Pantsi.

In a nail bitting episode, the host Smash Afrika eliminated Ashay Sewlall and Mmeli, saving Didintle ‘Didi’ Mothobi, Bravo B and Velile Qondile ‘Que’ Nongogo. Thandeka Shabalala and Lindy ‘Trixie’ Christoffels were fast-tracked to the finale week after enduring an ice bath challenge; while Liema was saved by the spinning wheel.
Here are your top six housemates in no particular order :
Thandeka
A 30-year-old bookkeeper from KwaZulu-Natal, who lives in Italy.
“I am always flexible and adaptable. I’m not new to living in a different environment, having lived in Italy for eight years speaks for itself. I’m fluent in Italian, and my love language is reciprocity, a person who knows how to show up and give 100% love. As for showing that in the house … well, you’ll just have to tune in and see.”
Trixie
A 34-year-old club promoter from Uitenhage who currently lives in Johannesburg.
“Coming from a small town, the only motivation is to make it in the entertainment industry. As a divorced single mother, I’ve learned so much in life. In my world, love is financial affirmation and acts of service – affection and being present are the best ways I can care for myself.”
Liema
Returning housemate, 24-year-old from Qonce.
“This time, love is not on the agenda for Liema and she will not be caught in anyone’s love nest. She’s in a happy, loving relationship and not risking what she has and will keep here eyes on the prize – the money! This time, the only cash she’s taking is the grand prize.”
Didi
A 21-year-old student from Lenasia.
“I believe that manners and the way I was raised play an important role. It shows in how you speak and how you treat people. Growing from my childhood traumas has been nothing but a blessing, and I believe I will be able to support anyone in the house who might need it. My love language is quality time, and kindness and acts of service are a natural part of who I am. I love doing things for others before I do them for myself, and that is just so me.”

Que
A 27-year-old Corporate fleet analyst from Eastern Cape, who resides in Johannesburg.
“Being in a house full of strangers is nothing new for me. Whatever happens, I am here for it! I am umuntu wabantu and it’s easy for me to get my point across. I have two love languages: acts of service and quality time.”
Bravo B
Another returning housemate. A 28-year-old food vendor from KwaNongoma, residing in Durban.
“These past two years I’ve tried it all: acting, presenting, auditions, even live theatre. When I got the call from production, I knew I couldn’t disappoint my fans a second time. This time, I’m taking it home!”
Viewers have until Friday night to vote for their favourite housemate.
