Kaizer Chiefs ‘target’ breaks silence on latest swarm of rumours

A player strongly linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs has finally broken his silence.

The Glamour Boys have once again struggled to live up to the hype this season.

And that can only mean the club will once again go big in the upcoming transfer window.

With first-choice goalkeeper Brandon Petersen out injured, question marks remain regarding the Amakhosi goalkeeping unit on a whole.

And one player tipped to be on the club’s radar is Nigerian international Stanley Nwabali. Now, the player himself has commented on his links to the Amakhosi.

Kaizer Chiefs links are ‘rumours’ – Nwabili

Former Chippa United star Stanley Nwabali has opened up reports linking him with a move to Kaizer Chiefs.

Nwabali is currently a free agent after parting ways with the Chilli Boys. This means, he can join his next club on a free-transfer.

“So, it’s rumours everywhere. Anyone talking about any club, it’s a rumour. When people wish you well and they want you to do something or they prefer you, you know,” Nwabali told Soccer Laduma.

The Nigerian star maintained fans should wait for official announcements. Until he isn’t seen wearing his next club’s jersey, it’s simply ‘rumours’.

“Rumours are always rumours. So, when you see me signing for any club, then you will know from that day I’m going or probably the day I’m wearing the club’s shirt.”

Amakhosi’s goalkeeping situation

The Glamour Boys currently have Brandon Petersen, Fiacre Ntwari and Bruce Bvuma on their books.

Youngster Karabo Molefe has been loaned for the remainder of the season.

If Nwabali does join the club, he’ll likely come in as a direct Ntwari replacement.
