DJ Dimplez remembered after 4 years passing

South African actor Zola Hashatsi over the weekend shared a heartfelt tribute to the late DJ and producer DJ Dimplez, marking four years since his sudden passing on 6 March 2022.

DJ Dimplez, born Tumi Moeketsi, was just 29 when he died from a brain haemorrhage in Johannesburg, leaving fans, fellow artists, and the South African music industry in shock.

The multi-award-winning DJ was widely recognized for shaping modern South African hip-hop, blending innovative beats with sharp production that elevated local talent and transformed the genre.

In his post, Hashti remembered Dimplez for his dedication, professionalism, and vision, highlighting the impact he had on the careers of younger artists and the broader music landscape.

Dimplez’s journey from grassroots mixtapes to headlining national festivals demonstrated his skill and relentless drive, qualities that inspired a generation of musicians.
