RHOD star Nonku Williams’ mother-daughter comparison on social media lands her in hot water

When Nonku Williams innocently posted a picture posing with her 15-year-old daughter, the last thing she expected was opening the sluice gates of stormy waters coming for her. The problem started with her caption.

“Ok. I can’t tell…who’s the mother between the two??”

It didn’t take long after this for her followers to come after her, calling the caption insensitive and, well, weird. The RHOD star has been attempting to block missiles coming her way since. In the picture, Nonku stands side by side with Nothile, much taller than her mother.

Nonku was called out firstly for comparing herself to her 15-year-old daughter, who some followers said is still going through a very confusing time as a teenager.

Nothile is the daughter of the late Gospel sensation Sfiso Ncwane. A debate broke out among Nonku’s followers, with some saying the caption is being taken out of context.

Nonku didn’t waste any time setting the record straight and putting those who are against her caption firmly in their place. She said she wouldn’t respond to such comments, but she feels obligated by her duty as a mother to protect her daughter.

Williams told the naysayers to “CALM THE H*CK DOWN”. She made sure everyone knew that Nothile was her daughter and knew her more than a group of followers on her Instagram page. Nonku advised her followers to rest and urged them to stop calling her skills as a mother into question.

Not all of her fans were negative, though, some felt that this issue was not that deep, and Williams pointed out how tall her daughter had become.

Nothile was first introduced to the public on the first season of the Real Housewives of Durban when Ayanda Ncwane, the wife of Sfiso Ncwane, decided to build a relationship between Nothile and her kids as siblings. Nonku said she loves Nothile more than life itself and called for people to deal with their issues.
