Anthony Hamilton touches down ahead of Durban show

US Singer Anthony Hamilton has landed in South Africa for his show in Durban this weekend.

Hamilton posted videos on his Instagram, with one captioned: “Mzwandile is HOME 🇿🇦 and it feels GOOD to be back. DURBAN — I’m headed your way and can’t wait to see you!!! THIS SATURDAY will be one to remember”

The excited Hamilton is seen disembarking from the plane and going through the airport, a process which is slowed down by his happy fans getting hugs and taking pictures with the generous and very willing entertainer.

“We’re back in South Africa again, but this time we’re going to Durban. We landed in Johannesburg, we’re going to Durban now,” said Hamilton.

He could not contain his excitement as he walked through the airport, breaking out in song in the middle of narrating his arrival.

“They said you would have my citizen card, so I won’t have to go back. Do you have it?” Hamilton jokingly asks the immigration official processing his entrance into the country.

The Charlene and Can’t Let Go singer has been nominated for the Grammys 17 times and won in 2009 for You’ve Got The Love I Need.

Hamilton has been in South Africa at least seven times.

He is scheduled to perform at the Durban ICC on 28 February.
