MaKhwela sets the record straight on pregnancy rumours with Musa Mseleku

Musa Mseleku and fifth wife Samke Khwela

Reality TV personality Samke ‘MaKhwela’ Khwela has addressed swirling claims that she is expecting another child with husband Musa Mseleku, putting an end to months of speculation.

The rumours gained momentum in November 2025 when MaKhwela shared a now-deleted Instagram Story showing her holding a baby, captioned: “Another one, thank you.”

The post sparked excitement among fans, with many believing she and Mseleku were welcoming their second child together, which would have been his 12th.

The post was removed just hours later, further fuelling speculation.

Reports at the time suggested that the show’s production team wanted any major announcement to be made during the filming of Season 9 of Uthando Nes’thembu.

Mseleku also declined to comment publicly, saying the news would be shared by Mzansi Magic.

However, in a statement shared with Briefly News, MaKhwela firmly denied that she is pregnant, dismissing the widespread claims as untrue.

The confusion comes after she welcomed her first child in 2025, Mseleku’s 11th,  a milestone that played out both on and off screen.

At the time, the family dynamic made headlines when Mseleku’s third wife, MaKhumalo, questioned the child’s paternity and requested a DNA test.

Reflecting on her journey into motherhood, MaKhwela described the experience as life-changing.

“Motherhood has transformed me in the most beautiful way, yet it is the most challenging role I have ever had to take on. It has softened me, strengthened me and given me a deeper purpose in life. I’m learning every day about patience and unconditional love,” she said.

She also encouraged viewers to continue watching the show, saying its appeal lies in its honesty.

“People should watch the show because it’s real. It shows love, challenges, growth, culture and the complexity of the family. It sparks the conversations that many people are afraid to have openly.”
