A couple out there might be wondering how they will spend Valentine’s Day, as it is fast approaching.

Celebrating the love and companionship between two individuals should not always injure the pocket. Sometimes, a thoughtful gift and a romantic show indoors do the trick.

Speaking of shows, there are plenty that one can choose from and have a wonderful time indoors.

Here are some of the shows one can watch on Valentine’s Day:

Love and Wine

This romance movie is set against the backdrop of a prestigious wine farm heir who trades lives with his down-to-earth childhood friend to prove that his luck with the ladies is more than wallet deep.

The movie boasts a star-studded cast that includes Ntobeko Sishi, Thandolwethu ‘Olly’ Zondi, Thando Thabethe, Bongile Mantsai and Masali Baduza, among others.

A Soweto Love Story

This comedy narrates a story of a mother who is desperate for her three sons to get married. She then promises her house to the first one to tie the knot, setting off a race to the altar. The story is told by Lunga Shabalala, Duduzile Ngcobo and  Zenzelisphesihle Sparky Xulu as principal cast members.

Umjolo: The Gone Girl

A love story that stars Sibongiseni Shezi, Tyson Mathonsi, Thobeka Shangase, Ntando Menzi Ncube and Gugu Gumede. It is set against a backdrop of a couple who seemingly have a perfect relationship that falters when one of them learns about the other’s infidelity — but who said that relationships were easy?

Fatal Seduction

This series with two seasons tells a love story of a married professor who is pulled into a passionate affair with a younger man that uncovers a path of tragedy and betrayal from those closest to her.

Kgomotso Christopher, Prince Grootboom and Nat Ramabulana form part of the brilliant cast.

Catching Feelings

Amid growing tensions in their marriage, a Johannesburg professor and his journalist wife find their lives upended by a famous, hard-partying author.

This comedy boasts a stellar cast that includes Kagiso Lediga, Pearl Thusi and Akin Omotoso.
