MaKhumalo’s powerful stance praised by viewers

Thobile Mseleku, née Khumalo, took many by surprise when she stood her ground, and her refreshing attitude during the episode of Uthando Nes’thembu on Wednesday had viewers cheering her on.

Season 9 is three episodes in, and viewers can’t wait to watch how the family dynamics will unfold, especially with the presence of Samke.

MAKHUMALO’S CHANGE OF HEART

Thobile, who’s affectionately called MaKhumalo, always supported her polygamous husband, Musa Mseleku. However, the tide of her energy changed since the arrival of his incoming wife, Samke Khwela.

During her solo diary session, MaKhumalo asked, “Can I be selfish for once?” Fans of the show suspected that her remarks implied that she was possibly asked to financially take care of Samke.

In previous seasons of the show, Musa disclosed that MaKhumalo is financially stable and occasionally helps him out. Therefore, fans are speculating whether, given her refusal to help Samke, is he manipulating her by not visiting her new home in Durban?

THOBILE GETS THUMPS UP FROM VIEWERS

The issues between MaKhumalo and her husband Musa stem from the last season. In one episode, he said that she “fails” at fulfilling what she came there for, which is to conceive children. Unfortunately, this hasn’t happened because of her fertility issues.

On Wednesday, 11 February, MaKhumalo confided in her sister about various issues in her marriage. Amongst them were the utterances made by her husband regarding not bearing any children.

IS THIS MAKHUMALO’S AHA MOMENT?

Since the inception of the show, MaKhumalo was perceived as overly humble, making sure to never rock the boat. However, after the Wednesday episode, fans are looking forward to seeing her speak her mind and put up boundaries.
