Priddy Ugly reveals he slowed down in 2025 to reset for a powerful 2026 comeback

Priddy Ugly opens up on his 2026 plans

While many fans viewed 2025 as one of Priddy Ugly’s strongest years yet, the rapper says the reality behind the scenes looked very different.

In a revealing sit-down on SlikourOnLife, the award-winning lyricist shared that what appeared to be a high-gear season was, in fact, a deliberate slowdown.

As industry watchers praised his visibility and momentum, he was focused on far more personal priorities.

“You know what’s crazy about 2025? I took a break in 2025,” he said. “Wifey was pregnant. We just got a new home, and I’ve been settling in. We’re trying to end off my last record label situation, so that I could start 2026 on a fresh slate. If anyone feels like 2025 was crazy, 2026 is gonna be hectic.”

The year marked significant milestones for Ricardo Moloi and his wife, media personality and choreographer Bontle Modiselle.

The couple welcomed their second child, expanding their growing family while also transitioning into a new home.

For the rapper, fatherhood and family life required a shift in pace.

Instead of chasing every opportunity, he chose to be more present, building a foundation that would support both his personal life and long-term ambitions.

At the same time, he has been working to conclude existing contractual obligations, positioning himself to enter 2026 with greater control over his career.

Independence, he hinted, is central to the next phase.

“I felt like my whole life, I’ve been focused on my creative bag. I’m trying to really get more into my business bag,” he explained.
