Bontle Modiselle embraces breadwinner role in marriage

Internet users have reacted to a statement made by media personality Bontle Modiselle. This comes after she expressed that she would not mind being a breadwinner in her marriage as life is seasonal.

Bontle and Priddy Ugly (real name Ricardo Moloi) sat down with podcaster and rapper, L’Tido to unpack a number of topics, including marriage dynamics.

Bontle shared that in all the relationships she has had, she has never expected a man to look after her in terms of paying for her rent or getting her hair and nails done. If anything, that made her uncomfortable because she was more afraid of the long-term consequence and what she would owe because of everything she received from a man.

When asked about how she feels when internet users make fun of their wedding dynamics, citing that Priddy Ugly takes care of the children while she fends for her family. Bontle said:

“I’m reasonable in the sense that I understand that there are seasons in people’s lives, there are moments in time where he will be up and I may not be, there are moments when I will be up and he might not be. It’s not gonna change how I feel about him, because at the core I respect this man. That’s why I am saying if money is the only thing a partner can offer, that is so unfortunate – there has to be more,” said Bontle.

some women are simply good women nothing can change that. they don’t lie, cheat, entertain other men, or seek attention outside their relationship. their priorities are solid, their loyalty is unwavering, and they remain true both to your face and behind your back. these women… https://t.co/xw5qkBZTgq
