Here’s the album that’s no longer within Brandy’s range

Brandy Norwood says her 2002 album, Full Moon, is not in her vocal range anymore. This statement comes after fans were confused because she did not perform When You Touch Me during her tour.

The Grammy award-winning artist explained that she avoids performing certain songs on that album because the current state of her vocal range wouldn’t do justice to them.

‘FULL MOON’ ALBUM NOT IN HER RANGE

During The Boy Is Mine Tour backstage, Brandy spoke about all things music with her fans. The mother of one candidly spoke about the evolution of her music and voice.

She unexpectedly mentioned that some songs from her iconic album, Full Moon, have become hard to perform due to her vocal range having changed over the years, as those songs require her to hit high notes.

In a video posted recently by American media outlet, True Exclusives, Brandy clarified the following about her stance on performing When You Touch Me and her album, Full Moon:

“Okay, let me be completely honest with the fans about When You Touch Me. Let’s just be honest about the whole Full Moon album. The Full Moon thing, it changed the game.”

“And I appreciate it, but it is just not in my range. I love pushing myself out of my comfort zone.”

“I’ve done that with my whole entire career. Every album I don’t even sound like the same singer if you really listen. My voice has been changing and doing different things all my life.”

FULL MOON: A CLASSIC BRANDY ALBUM

It was the year 2002 when Brandy shook the music scene with Full Moon. This musical masterpiece was produced by Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins and Mike City.

Songs such as He Is, What About Us and Full Moon remain frequently playlisted across the world. The impact of the album was undeniable, and it garnered significant recognition, such as a Grammy nomination under the Best Contemporary R&B album category.

The album took Brandy’s career to greater heights and solidified her as one of the best R&B talents to ever grace the industry.
