  • Nandipha Magudumana’s brother, Nkosinathi Sekeleni, has been arrested for attempted murder.
  • The charges were upgraded following the severity of the victim’s injuries after an alleged assault.
  • Sekeleni previously featured in a Showmax documentary and was reportedly paid R30,000 for his interview.

Nandipha Magudumana’s brother, Nkosinathi Sekeleni, has been charged with attempted murder following an alleged assault and robbery incident.

Sekeleni appeared before the Randburg Magistrates Court earlier this week alongside two other men.

The trio is accused of assaulting a man who allegedly attempted to rob them over the weekend.

According to reports, the charges were upgraded from grievous bodily harm to attempted murder due to the extent of the victim’s injuries.

Police spokesperson Tintswalo Sibeko says the group was released on warning.

“The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, 7 February 2026, when the suspects allegedly confronted the victim, accusing him of trying to rob them. Initial charges of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm were later upgraded to attempted murder,” said Sibeko

The accused are expected to return to court in March pending further investigation into the matter.

Sekeleni previously made headlines after appearing in the Showmax documentary Tracking Thabo Bester, where he shared his account of his sister’s interactions with the convicted murderer, rapist and fraudster.

Reports indicate that he was paid R30,000 for the tell-all interview.
