Zwane Praises Ngcobo Display On Return

Kaizer Chiefs interim coach Arthur Zwane was full of praise for Njabulo Ngcobo as he made a scoring return to the first team in their 2-2 draw against Swallows on Saturday.

Ngcobo opened the scoring for Chiefs in their final DStv Premiership match of the season, but it was his performance, especially in the second half, that pleased Zwane.

Zwane said that Ngcobo gave Chiefs the extra energy they needed in the middle of the park.

“I think we came alive actually when we got a red card, when Nange went out and started playing with a lot of energy and urgency and you could see that although we did not create clear cut chances or goalscoring opportunities,  but at least we were a little bit on the ball,” Zwane said in the post match presser.

“Njabulo gave us that extra energy in the middle of which is what we expected from Baccus and Nange (in the) first half.

“Njabulo once he was on the ball, then we were in control of the game, and then we brought in Mshini. We knew Mshini was not 100% fit for this game but we needed to take the game to them.”
