Gugu Gumede lauds herself 2 years post-surgery

South African actress Gugu Gumede is celebrating a major personal milestone as she marks two years since undergoing weight-loss surgery.

Taking to Instagram, the Mzansi star shared a video showing her body transformation and reflected on the journey, saying she is proud of how far she has come.

Gugu revealed that choosing surgery was initially frightening, but she believed there was a healthier version of herself waiting on the other side, a version she has now embraced.

“I cannot believe it has officially been two years since having my gastric sleeve surgery! I took a chance on myself and it paid off, I’m so proud!” she wrote.

“Cheers to @hermesclinics for walking with me on this journey; but mostly, cheers to me!”

Fans flooded the comment section with messages of praise and encouragement, applauding her discipline and confidence, while others gushed over her stunning physique and glowing appearance.
