Celebs Lambast Racist ‘Peeing’ Incident At Stellenbosch University Res

Local celebs have come out in their numbers to express their anger over a recent racist incident at Stellenbosch University.

South Africa woke up on Monday to a shocking video showing a white student urinating on the property of a black student. The video quickly went viral. It is said that the perpetrator, who was identified as Theuns Du Toit, entered the other student’s residence on Sunday and began peeing on his desk, books, and other personal belongings.

The victim is heard asking the perpetrator why he was “peeing” in his room in the video that was shared on social media.

Many described the incident as disgusting, infuriating and inhumane and are calling for the university to expel the guilty party.

“Institutionalised Racism – University of Stellenbosch – student urinating on a Black first-year student’s bed, books and laptop and says it’s how they initiate the Black students,” said former “Idols SA” judge Unathi Nkayi.

“This student has been suspended. He needs to be expelled … have criminal charges against him and be banned from all institutions of learning.”

Actor and comedian Siv Ngesi wrote: “A white student urinates all over a black first year students room, claims this what ‘they’ do to Black boys.”#stellenboschuniversity @stellenboschuni.”

Commenting under Ngesi’s mentions, ‘Durban Gen“ actor Nyaniso Dzedze wrote: “@stellenboschuni needs to act in fixing this.

“This is disgusting and infuriating. This is racist and unacceptable. These actions cannot be tolerated in a country that has gone through so much to seek peace despite our past. FIX THIS #stellenboschuniversity.”

TV producer Zola Hashatsi took to his Instagram page to say: “Dear @stellenboschuni this is totally unacceptable this is not even racism but pure evilness, how do you do this to another human be8mg please suspend this sorry excuse of a thing, can’t even label him as human and make sure he is banned everywhere.

“But we will find him and ‘TALK’ to him.”

Ayanda Borotho also took to her Instagram page to lambast the incident by reposting Unathi’s post.
