Thatohatsi dragged on Piano Pulse’s podcast

Amapiano singer Thatohatsi has sparked concern among fans and fellow artists after sharing a series of emotionally heavy posts on social media following remarks made about her on the Piano Pulse Podcast.

The Amantwana Bakho hitmaker took to TikTok on 15 January 2026, where she posted multiple stories reflecting the emotional impact of comments made about her appearance during a recent episode of the podcast.

The posts suggested that the criticism had taken a serious toll on her mental and emotional well-being.

In her stories, Thatohatsi shared videos that many interpreted as a reflection of exhaustion and emotional distress, including a clip of comedian Mpho “Popps” Modikoane speaking candidly about mental burnout and the weight of depression.

The posts were widely viewed as Thatohatsi relating to the sentiments being expressed.

This followed an episode of Piano Pulse Podcast in which the hosts, alongside guest Nota Baloyi, made disparaging remarks about the singer’s petite physique.

In response, Thatohatsi later shared a video of herself visibly emotional as she processed the commentary, a moment that resonated with many viewers and quickly spread across social media platforms.

The video has since attracted hundreds of thousands of views, with fans expressing sympathy and frustration over the impact of body-shaming and online ridicule on artists.

The situation has also reignited criticism of the podcast, which has previously been accused of repeatedly targeting South African musicians.
