Dithejane shocker, big exits looming large

Kaizer Chiefs have a Betway Premiership match to prepare for, but in the interim, there’s plenty of transfer talk in the background.

Versatile 21-year-old TS Galaxy man Puso Dithejane has become one of the most reliable performers in the Betway Premiership. Mamelodi Sundowns were thought to be keen on his signature, and his former club, Kaizer Chiefs, also contacted the player. However, Dithejane will be linking up with Mbekezeli Mbokazi in the MLS. Dithejane has four goals and four assists in the league this season from just 12 appearances.

Morris to leave Kaizer Chiefs

Camrin Smit will leave Kaizer Chiefs despite impressing the technical staff. The teenager spent 13 months on the sidelines with a serious achilles injury. Another player on the opposite end of the career spectrum, Tashreeq Morris, could also leave Naturena after failing to secure a regular place in the first team. The 31-year-old has zero appearances in the 2025-2026 Betway Premiership campaign.

Sundowns flex their muscles by signing Saleng, Leon

The Betway Premiership champions have made two big statements of intent this window. First, they made a move for R57 million Colombian striker Brayan Leon. Now, they’ve surprised everyone by swooping for controversial Orlando Pirates figure Monnapule Saleng.

Not everyone on the internet is happy. Some Sundowns fans have suggested that this move is a sign of regression from the club.
