Zwane Confirms Two Ruled Out Of Downs Clash

Kaizer Chiefs interim coach Arthur Zwane has confirmed that two players will miss Sunday’s much-expected clash with Mamelodi Sundowns after picking up an injury.

The Glamour Boys will host the newly crowned DStv Premiership champions at the FNB Stadium at 17:30 on Sunday.

Chiefs enter the game on the back of a 1-0 win over Marumo Gallants, but need another win to keep their slim hopes of qualifying for the CAF Champions League alive.

However, Amakhosi will miss both Ngcobos for the match, with both being sidelined with injury, according to Zwane.

“We don’t have Mshini (Nkosingiphile Ngcobo) and Njabulo Ngcobo available because of injuries,” he told the club’s media team.

“We also don’t have those who have been out all along, other than that everyone is available. We will select the squad based on what we see in terms of our game approach and take it from there. But so far so good.

“My only worry is that we are showing a lot of energy and commitment and tomorrow in the game we don’t show that, obviously it’s a worrying factor. But I think we’re on the right track.

“The three days we’ve had to prepare this team gave us some extra sessions to prepare them much better for this game. They look good, let’s hope they will take all the good things they’ve done today into the game.”

Chiefs take on Sundowns at 17:30 at the FNB Stadium on Sunday and fans can secure their tickets at www.ticketmaster.co.za or Computicket outlets at Checkers and Shoprite stores at R70 per ticket.
