Lynn Forbes posts touching throwback with late son AKA

Lynn Forbes has taken to social media to share a deeply personal and heartwarming memory of her late son, rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes.

On Friday, Lynn posted a short, playful throwback video of herself with AKA, capturing a light-hearted and goofy moment between mother and son.

The clip instantly drew attention, not just for its humour, but for the emotional story behind it.

In the caption, Lynn revealed that the video was part of a tradition they called “Forbes Fun Fridays”; special days spent together as a family whenever AKA’s daughter, Kairo, came to stay with him for the week.

During those visits, Lynn would move in temporarily to help him care for Kairo, turning the time into an intimate family routine filled with laughter and spontaneity.

“Kiernan, Kairo and I had this thing called Forbes Fun Fridays, where we did unplanned, random things together,” she wrote, explaining that the tradition was built around simple joys rather than elaborate plans.

She described those Fridays as moments where they embraced silliness, shared everyday family experiences, and laughed freely, even when disagreements arose.

“Those were special times. We would be silly, do normal family stuff and laugh so much … and sometimes we won’t agree,” Lynn added.

The post struck a chord with fans, many of whom flooded the comments with messages of love, support and remembrance.

For many, the video served as a bittersweet reminder of AKA not just as a superstar, but as a son and a devoted father.
